What We Do
Flexiblebeaut is an independent editorial website that reviews and compares meditation and mindfulness apps available to Australian users. We test every app we list with a real subscription, over a minimum of 30 days, and score each one against our 12-point evaluation criteria. We do not accept payment to influence rankings, and no app can buy a better position in our comparison tables.
Our Editorial Team
Jessica has been practising mindfulness for over eight years and holds a certificate in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from a registered MBSR teacher training programme. She spent five years as a health and wellness journalist before founding this publication. Jessica personally tests every app featured on this site and writes or approves all editorial content before publication.
Our Testing Methodology
Every app in our comparison undergoes the following process before a review is published:
- We subscribe using our own funds - no complimentary access accepted.
- We use the app daily for a minimum of 30 days, logging session quality, technical performance, catalogue depth, and any changes to pricing or features during that period.
- We score the app across 12 criteria: guided content variety, sleep programme quality, teacher credentials, audio production, user interface, price transparency, free-tier value, offline access, customer support responsiveness, onboarding experience, habit-building features, and cross-platform consistency.
- Scores are aggregated into an overall rating and reviewed by the editor before publication.
- Every listing is revisited at least quarterly. If an app makes significant changes, we update our review promptly.
Independence & Affiliate Disclosure
Flexiblebeaut earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When you click a link on this site and subsequently subscribe to an app, we may receive a commission from the app provider. The amount of this commission has no bearing on our ratings or rankings. Apps with which we have no affiliate relationship are included in our comparison if they meet our quality threshold, and they receive the same evaluation as affiliated apps.
We believe transparency about how we earn is essential. Any page featuring affiliate links includes a disclosure notice. Our editorial positions are not for sale.
